One of the good things (and sometimes the ONLY good thing) about working a day job is that I have cash to spend on decent art supplies. Seriously, sometimes that is the only benefit of working that job. I have amassed a fair decent supply of art goodies – not hoarding-like, mind you. I am happy to be able to buy what I want for the most part. I have not been able to (yet) justify spending almost $50 Cdn on a travel set of Koi watercolours. Maybe someday…

Below is a selection of what I picked up at the art store on Saltspring Island this past weekend. I love visiting Dragonfly Art Supplies whenever I visit the island to see my son. I could get supplies locally, but our store just isn’t packed full of goodies to choose from like Dragonfly. It’s fun, too, to remember where I purchased the supplies when it comes time to use them. My kind of souvenirs.

Take a boo at my haul and come on over to the Facebook page – Creative Space – and post a picture of your recent addition to your art supply stash. And be sure to sign up for the Creative Expression Circle below if you haven’t already done so.
